For many years, Round House and its gardens have been a sought-after venue for events such as the Annual Garden show for East Hampton’s Guild Hall, dedicated events for the Nature Conservancy or the National Garden Conservancy’s Open House program. Over the last five years the gardens have reached a point of maturity and excellence where we felt lasting documentation to share with a broader audience was called for. The Round House map provides the structure for a curated walk in five chapters.
Reviews
- An elegantly produced book about Round House and its gardens, which rank amongst the most beautiful I have ever seen. The book is a hybrid of art, horticulture, practical gardening and estate management that reads like a love story.

In his book, Round House & Its Gardens, Ennius Bergsma chronicles every detail of the architecture, interiors, art and landscape that make Round House such a brilliant convergence of Jack Lenor Larsen’s original vision and the Bergsmas’ respectful cultivation and expansion of that legacy.

The gorgeous photographs and fascinating text of "Round House & Its Gardens" bring to life the stunning evolution, over the last 33 years, of the brilliant foundation laid by Jack Lenor Larsen. Subtitled "A Walking Tour," it is the next best thing to being there.
